Ho’oponopono

March 10th, 2009

A couple of years ago I took a series of teleconference prosperity classes with AMY SCOTT GRANT  and Karrie King.  I learned a lot of good things.

Near the end of the classes, they introduced Ho’oponopono.  Wrap your tongue around that.  Pronounced Ho o po no po no.   Long o’s.

It is the Hawaiian system for wealth, health, peace and more.

In his book, Joe Vitale, author of the book Zero Limits tells how he learned about Ho’oponopono and the power of it.  I recommend it.

You can do a Google search and learn a lot more if that is your desire.

Basically, Ho’oponopono is a chant or repetition you say to yourself as often as you think about it.  It can be repeated over and over in your mind as you drift off to sleep or upon awakening in the morning.  Or anytime you feel a need for it.  Silently or verbally.

These are the words:     I love you

                                    I’m sorry

                                    Please forgive me

                                    Thank you

Space does not permit me to tell you of all the positive experiences I’ve had by using this simple system.

Even if you do not understand it, it works.  Try it.  See what you discover.  Repeat when you are stressed, having a difficult conversation, or difficulties in any area of your life.

Lack vs. The Law of Abundance

March 3rd, 2009

What are we attracting with all that is going on in our country right now?  Are you feeling it?  It seems that all of a sudden everyone is lacking.

With all the negetive vibes going out into the universe, is it any wonder so many are depressed and the country looks and feels like it is heading into a depression?   What happened and what can we do about it?

I don’t know what happened, but I do have some suggestions on how each person can pull out of it, and if enough people began adopting  abundance practices, maybe, just maybe, we could lift the doom and gloom that is starting to smoother us.

Start an Abundance Journal.  Record everything you receive that you were not expecting.  An example would be someone paying for your lunch, a rebate check or even the penny you find on the ground.

Keep track of everything.  You will soon start feeling there is abundance all around and your level of believing and deserving will increase.

Another exercise to create belief and bring more into your life, is to print checks and deposit slips on your word processor. Make three of each per page.

You will want several pages of checks and several of deposit slips. Put them into a 3-ring binder.  Now the fun begins.

For thirty days, or more if you wish, practice receiving and spending.  The first day you receive $1000 and you spend $1000.

Each day the amount you deposit and spend increases by a $1000.  On day two, receive and spend $2000, third day–$3000, then $4000, $5000 and so forth.

You have to spend all the money deposited that day.  You can spend it anyway you like.  Make it as real as possible…You do know this is pretend, don’t you?

Pay your utilities, your house payment, your credit card or whatever.  Spend it all every day.  If you skip a day, just pick up where you left off.

Have fun with this.  Get creative.  You soon will find it hard to spend all the money.  You will start looking for causes you can support, people you can help.  After all, there are only so many toys a person can have. (You think?)

Practicing these two things should help raise the level of your vibrations so another law…the Law of Attraction…kicks in.

It is true, what you think about, you bring about.  Why not bring about abundance instead of lack?

The Monarch Butterflies

February 26th, 2009

When discouraged, tired and ready to give up, take a lesson from the Monarch butterflies.

Each fall, Monarch butterflies in Maine begin an unbelievable journey to a hilltop in Mexico.

How do they do it?

They focus on the goal, not the difficulties.

Each day they take their bearings and set off, allowing their instincts and desire to steer them.

They accept what comes: some winds blow them off course, others speed them along.

They keep flying until, one day, they arrive.

It Doesn’t Matter

February 25th, 2009

During a long ago perilous period of war, a brave honorable warrior led his troops into battle to preserve the freedoms of his country.  Because of the long duration of the war, his army was suffering for want of food and supplies.

The battles had been fierce.  Supplies from his government were not getting to him and his men.

Upset and discouraged, the warrior sent a letter to the government accusing it of thoughtlessness, slothfulness and neglect.

The governor who received the letter could have easily taken offense and resented the accusations directed at him.  Instead, he responded compassionately and described a rebellion against the government which prevented supplies from getting to the warrior and his army.

The governor did not take joy in the afflictions of his warrior friend and was greatly grieved for him and his troops.  He wrote that he was not angry but did rejoice in the “greatness” of his warrior friend’s heart.  Even though he had been censured, he wrote,”it doesn’t matter.”

Responding to the weaknesses, the inexperience or the offensive actions of others can reflect our maturity in dealing with others.

What should a response be when someone doesn’t show up for a meeting, a telephone call or appointment?  What should the response be to the offensive actions of others?

Choose to not be offended or upset and say as did the governor, “it doesn’t matter.”
